Personnel safety nets are installed at construction sites to catch falling workers and objects/debris. Our 300 Series Safety Netting is constructed of two strands of twisted high tenacity nylon cord treated with Envirocoat, forming a 4”diamond mesh pattern. A continuous ½” twisted nylon border rope is woven through each mesh. The net is then fastened to the border rope with Crimp-Lock™ fasteners. Adjustable snap hooks are located every 4’ and staggered on all four sides.
Each safety net is identified with a metal tag stamped with the following information: Name of Manufacturer, Identification of Net Material, Date of Manufacture, Date of Prototype Test, Name of Testing Agency and Serial Number.
The 17,500 foot pound test and strength requirements are defined by ANSI A10.11, Section 8, New York Local Law 61, Article 19, OSHA 1926.105(d), 1926.502(c)(8), ASTM 52375-09.
Nets are certified to meet the requirements of ANSI, OSHA, New York Local Law 61, Article 19, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and ASTM.
Nets are treated with Envirocoat for resistance to ultra-violet light and abrasion. Fire retardant treatment meets or exceeds NFPA 701 Large scale test.
Our safety nets are lined with a fine mesh net called a debris liner. The debris liner aids in protecting the public and trades below from
smaller objects dropped or blown from the floors above.
Safety nets are usually installed within 30 feet of the walkable working surface. The netting system is designed to decelerate the falling objects and therefore needs sufficient clearance from obstructions below to function as designed.
Our perimeter safety net systems are comprised of nets, cables, 3 part aluminum outriggers, steel brackets, ropes and various fasteners. After a careful review of the structural drawings and perimeter net system survey by our trained sales and engineering staff, variables are defined and a system is configured to meet the needs of our client. In many instances two levels of nets are employed.
All components are inspected by our trained rental department prior to palletizing and shipment to your construction site.
